Critical Orifice

The Critical Orifice  control flow during air sampling. It is available in stainless steel or with inert passivation treatment.  Both of these options are highly inert. The orifice is made with a ruby, which provide consistent flow over a broad temperature range. We offer three configurations:

• Union Critical Orifice: used with the Grab Air Sampling Kit                    1/4" compression fitting on both sides of the union

• NPT Critical Orifice: used in the Passive Air Sampling Kit                     1/4" NPT and 1/4" compression fitting

• "T" Critical Orifice used in Passive Soil Gas Sampling Kit                     

We offer a full range of critical orifice sizes, and recommend using a particulate filter with the critical orifice to prevent clogging (sold separately).
